Ways to Get Involved
There are many ways to support our work at the South Chico Community Assistance Center! Whether through item donations, financial support, or volunteering, every contribution helps us serve our community and make a difference.
Volunteer
We’re always in need of dedicated volunteers to help on pantry and preparation days. No previous experience is necessary—just bring your enthusiasm to serve!

-
Friday Pantry Setup: 1 to 3 p.m. Help us organize and display shelf-stable foods, package cold and frozen items, and set up clothing donations in a relaxed environment before pantry day. No crowds—just an opportunity to help behind the scenes.
-
Saturday Pantry Day: 1:30 - 4 p.m. Assist us on pantry day by greeting guests, handing out bags, directing lines, displaying produce, monitoring shelves, distributing cold and frozen items, and helping with cleanup.

Donate Items
We gratefully accept unexpired, shelf-stable food items such as canned goods, baking supplies, and essential toiletries, as well as first aid supplies and sanitary products.

Donate Money
As a completely volunteer-run organization with no paid staff, every dollar goes directly to the overhead of our space—covering essential costs like rent, utilities, and purchasing food for our pantry. Your financial support is crucial in helping us maintain and expand our services for those who need them most.
