Our MISSION
The South Chico Community Assistance Center (SCCAC) is dedicated to addressing housing and food insecurity throughout Chico by helping individuals and families extend their resources in order to make it through the last week of the month. We accomplish this mission by providing food, clothing, and referral services throughout the month and throughout the year.

June 8th and 22nd - Community Pantry Day at SCCAC
Open food pantry from 2-4pm. Shelf-safe foods, fresh produce, and cold and frozen items available. Clean clothes and bedding. Hot meals served on the plaza with Chico Red Meals. 1805 Park Ave.

june 15 - [Insert food] revolution
A space to have dinner together and discuss revolutionary ideas potluck style. Come eat and chat about a better world. Meet comrades, be in community. A reoccurring event at the Center, every 3rd Thursday of the month. 1805 Park Ave, 7PM
June 12th- climate connection at SCCAC
Our Climate Café is back to provide a rejuvenating space to unwind and destress from climate concerns. Join us for a relaxed evening of community, good vibes, and positive conversations. 1805 Park Ave, 5-7pm
Last Tuesday of the month- Plant Walk at Verbena Fields
Hosted by Traditional Ecological Knowledge, Chico and Camp Fire Restoration Project. Two hours before sunset.
